Avoid shoebuy

You will never get a label to return your shoes. They do not really want anyone returning anything. They should just state all sales final. They are the worst. They just lie about sending a return label. I'm going to pay to return my shoes myself and if I get the runaround after that I will dispute it with my credit card. I sent them an email stating my issue. So I assume my return will be denied. Apparently that is a tactic of theirs. I started my return an hour after I received the shoes and knew that they do not work. Obviously haven't worn them. They are absolutely deceitful. I had been a loyal customer for years.

Short Review on June&nbs-04:00;11,&nbs-04:00;2016

Just found out the hard way a restocking fee was instituted by shoe buy. I believe that will be my last purchase. Shoe buy will be absent my average purchase of $800. A year.

Bad business!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Be careful when ordering at shoebuy.com: you may not have a chance to exchange or return your order. The pair of shoes I received had no original shoe-box inside, just one mailing box. Normally, when I was getting shoes from shoebuy.com there were two boxes: one shoe-box and the other one was mailing box. This time the original shoe-box was missing. When I sent the shoes back for exchange the way I received them, the exchange was denied. Please, make sure you take picture of the box: unfortunately, I didn't! And now, I can't get my refund! Sounds like typical scam! In addition, shoubuy.com didn't post my review about this incident and deleted one positive review of mine from their website. I don't trust them anymore nor should you! Shopping at shoebuy.com becoming unreliable: you will have a chanse to try the shoes on but not have a chance to exchange or return your order.

Customers Beware of Shoebuy co. Their advertisements state free shipping and free returns. NOT... Shoebuy will charge you almost $9.00 re-stocking fee. Even if you want to exchange for another item. That does not sound like Free Returns to me.

BEWARE: THEY WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE

I ordered a pair of very nice Men's slippers for my son. They only came in one width, which I assumed would be suitable for men. However, they turned out to be the same width as my own female slippers. I spoke with a supervisor about it, and after a long and protracted discussion, she said she would waive the restocking fee "this one time". HOWEVER: when my refund was issued, they still deducted $7 from it. I called again, and the person I spoke with said that there was NOTHING IN THEIR NOTES about waiving the restocking fee. So, on top of being sleaze balls who bury their dirty policies in the fine print, they are BALD FACED LIARS. I guess the two things go hand in hand and I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm writing this review to make sure other people know.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN'T KNOW THEIR OWN POLICYS

I ORDERED TWO PAIR OF SHOES. ONE WAS TOO BIG AND I WANTED TO MAKE AN EXCHANGE. I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE I PAID WITH PAYPAL, I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN AND REPURCHASE. WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN THE WRONG SIZE, I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE A $6.95 RESTOCK FEE. SO, I CANT EXCHANGE BECAUSE I PAID WITH PAYPAL AND I CANT RETURN WITHOUT A RESTOCK FEE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER, NO ATTEMPT MADE BY THEM TO KEEP A CUSTOMER. IM SIMPLY GOING TO DONATE THE SHOES AND WASH MY HANDS OF THE WHOLE SHOEBUY EXPERIENCE.

Bye, bye shoebuy.....

Free shipping and free exchanges. However a $6.95 restocking fee per pair for returns! Did I miss that on the website - NO - it's not posted until you return your shoes, then you are ripped off. Is this illegal - I'm sure not, just false advertising by omission. Who else could get away with this but large corporations that enjoy taking money from customers. I've never had an issue with Zappos - free shipping and free returns. So hello Zappos and thank you for your fantastic customer service.

NEVER BUY FROM SHOEBUY

I ordered a Size 12 shoe and was sent a 10.5 I called them and they stated that is was not their problem. I told them that they were responsible for the mistake and that I would not be paying for shipping or the restocking fee. They would not exchange the shoes for the correct size and I had to order the size 12 again. They again sent me a 10.5. They eventually told me that they don't actually have any size 12 in stock, yet they continue to sell that size on their website. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they claimed to have refunded me the whole amount, which they did not. They continue to lie to the BBB and I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE JERKS. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND DOUBLE TALK IS ALL YOU WILL GET. I bought a $250 pair of dress shoes on sale for $200. The most I have ever paid for a pair of shoes. I wore them for two hours and did not like the fit but love the shoe and just needed a new size. I called to get a return slip and I was told that if I wanted the new pair at the sale price I would have to buy them that day and send the others back for credit which is what I did. Then they DENIED the return and stuck me with the shoes!!! I called the CEO office and got nothing but bla bla bla AND basically was dismissed and was even told it was my fault and that I had not been honest. They are impossible to deal with. It is like talking to a brick wall with a lawyers degree. I WILL NEVER BUY A THING FROM THESE FOLKS AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME. I am returning about 6 other items and paying the $7 restocking because I as a matter of principle I refuse to do business with the devil and these folks are the devil

Sent wrong size; trouble exchanging

Ordered size 6,; received a size 9; they look like knock offs to me. No packing slip; and no return paperwork. Had to reorder, charged CC. again,; took forever to get cc. credited.,; messed up cc. with over limit. Was a mess. Will never order from them again. The wrong size looked like the real type shoes brand., but the second pair I recd. look like "knock offs" to me. Sad. Don't trust them anymore. Do not think that is the proper way to do business, if you want to stay in business.

Shoebuy vendor review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been a shoebuy vendor for over 4 years! This company sucks so bad! They are the worst company to do business with. They mark the returns as defective by purpose to charge an extra $12 from their vendors, while they ship us worn shoes. The shoes we receive are not in their original packaging or show signs of wear on the bottom. In the end we get charged $12 extra for the shoes that we can't resell. Please be aware and don't buy from this company!

Very difficult to return items

Shoes I got were too small, tried to exchange them. They were not in stock, then, some how they were back in stock for over $25 increase in price. So, that seemed like a scam because I didnt buy the shoes on sale or anything. So, by this time I wanted to return them, but every time the customer service agent tried to send me the "Return Label", I would click the link and get a message that the "link was broken" -see below. The customer service agent is doing the best job they can and he tried 7 times to send me a label, but the company's computer system is broken or something and he is telling me there is no way to return these without the label ( I guess I could pay for shipping them back myself). There is no manager to speak with. Now I am stuck with a pair of shoes that I can't wear or return! I've been on my second phone call now to the company for over 30 mins trying to return something. No resolution yet, no way to return these shoes because when I try via their website, I get a message that the "return is in process" and I am not able to print the return label there. Waste of time. Oh and I will be charged the return fee too. That doesn't bother me as much as this huge waste of time and no ability to print a return label. Not an easy process. UGH! "The link you clicked on appears to be incomplete. If the link is very long and wraps across two lines, try copying both lines, one at a time, and pasting the full link into your browser's location box. If that doesn't work, please reply to the original email message, and include the words "broken link" in the subject line."

I've had a similar experience. Tried online to initiate a return of two pair of shoes.

Got an email saying they had just emailed me the return shipping label--but they hadn't. Called customer service on the phone, they said they would email the label again--but they didn't. Emailed customer service and "Jeffrey" said he would email the label. I never received it.

Emailed "Jeffrey" again, and he said he would send the label via postal mail, and I should have it in a week. It's been two weeks, and I haven't received it.

I emailed "Jeffrey" yesterday, and so far no response.

They are a scam. Buyer beware.

Sorry your experience was so bad : ( Shoebuy will do *anything* not to give you back your money. They blocked me from writing negative comments on FB, so I am on every other site I can think of, warning people off them.

My net loss was $30 on $150-worth of shoes (I kept 2 of 6 pairs) but my real beef with them is the sneaky way they hide their fee return, and the way I saw they have treated other customers. One woman even wrote that she spent her only Christmas money on her kids to buy them Uggs, but when Shoebuy finally let her know they wouldn't ship in time for Christmas, she tried to get her money back and they ignored her calls and sat on her money. No presents for the kids, and their father is terminally ill to boot.

She even wrote the CEO and he ignored her too. Nice customer service, right??

Wow you suck shoebuy!!! Restocking fees, are you kidding me?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I will never order from Shoebuy again. I have been a loyal customer for years and now, without warning, they instituted a $6.95 restocking fee per item. Wow!! I use them to order multiple sizes of shoes for the kids because there are no kids shoe stores around anymore to try things on. NO MORE. There is plenty of online shoe competition out there and no one esle is charging a restocking fee. They have lost my business and hopefully your business as well. And, when we called to complain, they just gave us the run around. I will say it again, Shoebuy, YOU SUCK!!! Go to Shoes.com, or Planteshoes, or Zappos or, try Amazon prime, just to name a few.

Nice job sneaking in the $6.95 restocking fee for returns...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
BUYER BEWARE: DON'T BUY FROM SHOEBUY UNLESS YOU INTEND TO KEEP EVERYTHING YOU ORDER. I just got a taste of Shoebuy's abysmal customer service. I explained to a manager that I intended to exchange the shoes I ordered for a different size -- which Shoebuy did NOT have in stock -- and he told me to "find another item" if I wanted to avoid the restocking fee!!! So BUYER BEWARE. YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES WITH SHOEBUY'S "NEW" POLICY: GET STUCK WITH (AND PAY FOR) THE ITEMS YOU DON'T WANT, OR PAY $6.95 PER ITEM FOR THE "PRIVILEGE" OF TRYING THEM ON AND RETURNING THEM FOR A REFUND. Shoebuy, you have lost a customer who has been with you for over 10 years. And by the way, I found the size I needed on Amazon for 40% less AND FREE SHIPPING AND FREE RETURNS.

Just got screwed that way ourselves, only three times, not just on one pair. I called Shoebuy.com and complained.

They waved one fee and charged us for 3 other pairs.

I told them they have lost our family's business permanently unless they change this policy.

I agree, add me to the list of customers they have lost!!!

New charges with no notice for long time customers should be illegal

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been a long-term shoebuy.com customer. I have shopped at their site, above all others, even when they were more expensive because they had a free return and exchanged policy. This year, some time in August apparently, they changed the free returns and now charge $6.95 per returned item...not return box, but per item! So, if you are like me, and order several different things to decide which one you want, you are being ripped off. I called to complain I received no warning of this, and that I took the effort to find one box to return it all in, as I have been instructed to do in the past, so being charged per item is bubkis. They person I spoke with was respectful, and I remained respectful, despite feeling like this was theft. They spoke to their manager, and another manager who they claim was higher rank. Neither was "able" to do anything. I don't believe that for a second. I know every company has someone who can wave fees. The fact there was no notice for current customers is illegal. When I pointed that out, they claimed if I had looked at their returns policy it is there. I pointed out I had no reason to look, as I had been a decade long customer and given no notice anything changed. They don't dispute that no notice was given. They just don't care. They are perfectly happy to rip you off. I guess I will be shopping at Zappos or other sites now, even if I pay a bit more...at least they aren't trying to steal from me. Adding insult to injury, my "rewards points" disappeared. I had over $40 in "points", which is the equivalent of cash, or was. They no longer list those in my account. When I emailed about this, I received no response. I don't know if shoebuy has been sold, as I did notice some odd packing slips, but they are not the company I used to shop with, and I no longer will.
